I was wanting to put head light covers on my truck. I want just plain glossy black over them solidly.
While I understand I will lose some head light quality, I was wondering.
If I add the new style bulbs, like on a Lariat or those that costs around $60 to $80 bucks a set, will those type bulbs give me back to normal headlight quality with the headlight covers on?
Offhand, can anyone recommend a good website to order head light covers? Or are the Autoventshade covers from Autozone/Advance just as good as the rest?
I want them to look shiny black, not like "some" I see on the road, that have faded, and kinda look yellowish dingy a bit, even tho they are black/smoke colored.
I had a set years ago. i don't know if the material used has changed but I left mine on the truck and they warped from the heat. If you'll look in my gallery. I have some that 'trim' my lights. They are from AVS (autovent shade) and come in smoke but are easily painted.
If they warped, then they were probably too thin. Thus there is probably a brand that is thicker and more durable. So I'll keep my eyes open until someone has some more opinions.
