M5OD trans help!
HELP!!! My 1990 f150 has given me the fickle finger and I am not too sure what the problem is..... it is a 1990 4x4 with a 302 and I am having a problem with shifting,at 1st it was like I had missed the gate for reverse... there was no engagement after I let the clutch out, then a little while later it was okay....now ALL I HAVE IS REVERSE!!! Even in neutral! When I put it into 1st thru 4th it will bog out and stall, with no movement what so ever-it almost acts like the parking brake is on..... I am totally confused, a truck with 107,000 miles and factory clutch on it!!! ANY HELP WILL BE APPRECIATED, THANKS TO ALL IN ADVANCE!

Doesn't sound good...
It sounds like the forward gears might be bound up in the case - perhaps a broken chunk of gear? If the shift lever is loose, you might (if you're lucky) have a worn out shifter bushing in the tower of the trans. I've never heard of that bushing causing a no drive condition tho...
I'd drain and strain the trans fluid to check for particles.

If you have reverse in nuetral and it won't go anywhere when in a forward gear the reverse is still engaged. The fork for reverse is worn out and will not grab it to desingage. The prpblem is this fork is located in the adapter so you have to remove the transfer case and the adapter to get to it so you can replace it. Good luck.
