I'm new, and originally posted this in the Ranger forums, but got no response so here goes.
I have a '96 Ranger STX 3.0L with the electronic shift 4wd. Needless to say, this feature has roughly never worked, went out after the truck was only six months old, and three times since then. I have 200K miles on the truck, and this is the only problem (other than a manual tranny that I BROKE). My question is is it possible to install a manual transfer case with lock out hubs, and what that may cost (I understand estimates are about all I could get).
well anything is possible (esp with the money) but the newer the truck the more expensive it will be! i hate to say it but that's prolly the most you will hear from any of us! i suggest posting it here http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/ but beware....they don't take well to dumb questions, lol
