Bucking
I have a 92 f-150 V-8 thats about all I know about the engine. I had the trans fluind and gasket changed about three years and 30,000 miles ago. I get this bucking or even a slaming from the transmission usually when the engines hot and I'm driving locally not on the high way. Mechanic told me awhile back that he may have to add an additive to the fluid. Does this sound right or any suggestions.

Fluid level?
You may have already thought of this but since it wasn't mentioned, check the fluid level. Mine was bucking quite a bit just after starting and trying to back up the driveway (35* slope) and found that I needed to add extra to just at or slightly above the top of the "full" line on level ground to keep it from happening. Once mine warmed up it was OK so you may have a different situation altogether. Good luck!

It doen't make much of a noise it just feels like the engine is almost surging. It's all in the engine nothing from the rear. As far as fluid I ckecked it when it was hot and it was ok.
