1st post- question about leather

Hey guys, love the forum. I've already had several questions answered, lots of valuable info. Anyway, I just got a 2004 F150 on Saturday. Firs the leather seems really soft compared to my other car. I noticed a spot on the seat when I got home today, tried to wipe it off but it wouldn't budge. Looked at it closer and it appears a little piece flaked off.

I didn't have any sharp objects in my pants and I'm really careful when I get in and out. Has anyone else had this problem, and can it be fixed?

should be covered under warranty. Sounds like a defect to me.

I can see that turning into a battle.

They will say it is wear and tear, or that I had something sharp in my pockets.

The leather seats are clear coated with a protectant. If a piece is flaked off it is a defect, get it into service and they will replace it. Especially if it is brand new.
