If you want a nice exhaust system... what I did with my 292 was make dual exhaust, with both coming out the right side in front of the rear wheel well. I had to...my panel had a big gas tank under the frame right where the right side pipes would have gone.
We capped off the passenger side header in front. The driver side pipes we ran down and underneath the fan, etc., then ran it back beside the other one. That was one sweet sounding truck and the power it picked up with the duals was worth every bit of the effort.
