95 Transmission Failure
The other thought that occurred is that is could be the Transfer case chain. If it was bad, could I have gotten that little bit of power?
Who make a good rebuilt transmission? I can change it out myself. I am hestitant to rebuild it myself as it looks pretty complex. I have done C4's before though, so I may attempt it.
Any suggestions would be appreciated!

I had my '95 rebuilt by a local Dr Nick's, What a mistake.
the borg warner 44-05 transfer case has a chain in it, which I believe drives the front shaft. There is aslo a coil driven clutch which will send any power to the front driveshaft unless the rear driveshaft is spinning much faster than the front (indicating rear wheels slipping).
It looks to me like the clutch is on the main transfer case driveline and does not engage the drive chain unless the rear shaft is spinning.
If you place the transfer case in 4wd-low, the clutch is either locked in the engaged position or bypassed and power always goeas to the front shaft.
Try 4wd-low just to see if the front gets power then.
I did try 4low and got no(very little) power transmitted as before. I really believe it is the torque converter that failed. Ford want $1907 (two different dealers) for the Ford rebuilt trans with a 3yr/36K warranty. I hope to pull it out this weekend. After it is out I will pull the converter and the pan to check for major metal debris. If lots, I will probably go rebuilt, if it looks like just the converter and a "simple" rebuild will do, I will probably tackle it. I have the factory manual and most of the tools.
I already know the exhaust is going to be a problem. It is all original (140K). I doubt I can get it out intact. Good time for a new CAT, O2 sensors and exhaust system. The only problem is all the dollars. Still the truck has been great! I have had to replace VERY few parts on it over the years and I towed with it A LOT in the mountains with its max rated load. I can't really complain.
