hey folks i know several people have prob asked this same question. I have a 99 F150 xl supercab automatic trans . the 4.2 has been a good motor but i find that it is lacking in power on take off and when passing slower traffic . so i have been toying with the idea of pulling the 4.2 out and dropping a 4.6 in would appericate any info on this what all is compatiable or not and what a project like this would roughly cost
I hope you have a FAT bank roll. I cant imagine the extranomical costs of doing that. you would honestly be better off buying another truck, engine, transmission, bigger radiator prolly, all new eletricals....alot of hard work, fab work...I cant imagine it. jsut buy another truck.
yeah thats what every one else has said about going from v6 to v8 , just buy another truck thanks for your input guess i'll just stick with ole six banger
