I just took a 400 mile trip, and running an average of 75 mph @ 2300rpm or so, I average 14.0. I honestly expected more. The pos is a 99 cc drw with 373, and 58,000. Is this normal? Thanks

If you drop down to 70 MPG which should be about 2000 RPM with your gearing I would expect that you would pick up around 2 MPG. 2000 RPM seens to be sort of a magic number with these engines and above that it uses a lot more fuel. By the way, you do have a CC dually!
If I keep mine @ or below 2000, I can get as high as 16 but not any higher. I think this is pretty good considering fact it is a CC 1 ton. I have tried the predator economy tune and the SCMT tuner as well. No improvement. I have heard people getting a lot worse so I don't complain.
I drive a few states and I average 85 mph on the interstate. I run about 2250 -2300 rpm, 3.73 gears, and I run the Diablo chip in the 54hp mode.
I have the AIS intake, 4" exhaust and I average 16.5 - 17 mpg. I have never driven my PSD below 2000 rpm except during break in. Mileage has always been between 16 - 17. But I have a 2wd too.
The 2wd makes a huge difference. I'm sure if you drove more conservatively you'd be able to get over 20 MPG, but it doesn't sound like that's going to happen.
Just got back from a fishing trip this weekend and put on just over 400 miles packing a 8' camper pulling a utility trailer with a aluminium boat and gear. Got 16.5 mpg cruising at 1800 rpm.

That's what I would have gotten until recently. Since I have added 3 1/2 down to 4" on back, Bully Dog 4 bank chip in tow mode, Zoodad mod I get 16.3 calculated at 75 (2300 +/-) and that's with 4:10's

Hi all I just got my truck about a month ago , now I run predator set at 80 hp and at 75 mph I average 21mpg , my headup computer shows 25 mpg but it,s way of , by manual calculation is 21 , which is perfect , before I boought this truck I did expect good fuel economy but this beats all my expectation . By the way the truck is 2001 250 crew 4 wheel drive
400 miles on roughly 25 gallons running 85 to and 90+ from dallas to abilene. Did not drive conservatively at all, I had a good front door both ways and got 16. Diablo predator on 85, 4" exhaust all the way out. I get about 13 in town to and from work. Good luck!!
Just returned from a 1,230 mi. Yosemite/Sequoia trip. Drove 70mph at 1950 rpm and then running up and down those steep hills sightseeing and stuff. Ended up with 16.1 mpg with about 1500 lbs in bed/truck combined. Better than the 12 mpg I got with my ole F-onefitty 302.
I just got home from a 2000 mile trip with my '97 F250 PSD pulling a 29' 5th wheel, I averaged about 8 mpg! I was running at about 68mph and 2400rpms! It hurt the pocket book bad!
I have a 94 f-250 turbo diesel with a dealer installed 96 powerstroke, took a road trip to Montana, no load, cruise control on 65-75mph averaged 18 mpg. Just did some homemade upgrades and hoping to do better then that
