I am about to get a '04 4x4 CC 6.0 and I took it for a test drive on Sat. And when I dropped it into gear it kinda "burps" kinda when you hit the gas. I thought it would be cause its cold but after I warmed it up it still did it. Just a little hesitant it seems. Will this clear up after a few miles?
Also on the "Shift on the fly 4x4" you still have to get out and lock in the hubs right?
I would much rather have the shifter in the floor, but I can still change my mind.

Shift on the fly 4x4, you do not have to get out to lock the hubs. The hubs have what look like a manual lock, but it is "Auto" and "Lock" which means you can manually lock the hubs and leave them that way and the selector in the cab will give you 4x2 4x4 hi and 4x4low. If you leave them on auto the selector in the cab will lock and unlock the hubs for you without getting out of the comfort of the driver seat. Kind of handy for me on boat ramps, etc.
The burp can happen from accelerating too aggressively and then backing off quickly. That is normal.
Not sure what you mean by "burp". If you mean it seems like it has no power for a while and then finally spools up, that's turbo lag and this motor has a fair amount of it.
