Hello, I have a 1997 F-150 4.6L. On deciphering the code, as I understand it the 8th digit is a W which means it's a ROMEO... can anyone confirm that is correct. The 9th is a 4 and I'm wondering what that means.
My main question is, when I'm doing part selection often you have to clarify if your vehicle is a "vin 6" or "vin w" or "vin 9". I'm assuming that's the last digit on the vin... mine is a 6. Someone is selling injectors for a "vin 9". What I'm wondering is what do these different codes mean, and would something specifying a "vin 9" work on a "vin 6"... and why not?
Thanks in advance for anyone that can let me know this.
