Tranny/Transfer Case Removal
Gotta do the rear main seal in my 1990 with 302. The Haynes manual says to remove the transfer case then the tranny. All I've gotta do is drop them for 10 minutes to change the seal.
I was going to try to remove both together, I've got the big floor jack with a transmission adapter, will the transfer case be to heavy on the back end to balance?
Anybody else try it that way?

I pull them together all the time, but i got a lift now, and a tranny jack. I used to do it on the floor, get it centered up good, it will want to roll more than tip front to back. actually two floor jacks work well. One just to kinda hold the tranfercase so thw whole assembly dont roll off the side of the main jack.
