Idle speed problem

I have an 85 Ranger, V6 carburetted with a 5 speed. it takes 4-6 seconds for idle speed to return to normal after revving it up or accelerating and letting off the gas.

Any suggestions?

Problems with the centrifugal or vac advance in the distributor is a maybe.

Is there some type of decel solenoid on the carb, thats what came to my mind first.
