axle decodeing please!!!

hi all i have an 89 E250 with the 4.9L,the door sticker has a 23 axle code can someone tell me what i have.i flat tow my jeep with the truck and i want to change the gears but i need to know what i have now TIA!!!

3.54 open rear end.

Thanks alot for the info rclarke i think i will go to 4:10's or just do some of the other mods first like the exhaust since my muffler just broke yesterday i think it's time to get rid of one of my cats!!!
