351W fuel pump bolts on side to side bolt pattern, 351M bolts up and down {vertical}. Tstat housing bolts to intake on a 351W and it bolts down to the block {in front of the intake manifold} on a 351M-400 engine. Bell housing bolt pattern is the same as a 300 six, 289,302,251C on a 351W. On a 351M-400 the pattern is the same as a "385" series big block {429-460}.
