has any one installed a billet grille in there bronco here? i found one that looked cool for mine bronco http://www.ultimateford.com/script/p...Category_ID=86 how would that work with the latch being in the front? would u have to cut a hole in it?
I don't have a billet grill on mine, but as for the latch...they usually come with extensions to relocate the release lever. I've seen broncos with billet grills...I think it looks great on the newer (91-96) broncos with the tapered grill. Check out some of the galleries of other people's broncos around your year and see if you find any that catch your eye.
Installed a Stull billet grille on my 96. Took photos along the way. You will find photos that answer your question about the latch release in my gallery. More/better photos on my website.
Also some photos of how I put my grille emblem back on my billet grille. Looked like something was missing without it.
gheez red..i see your sticker happy inside your hood lol
i personally think the billet grill look is alot sharper without teh oval..to everyone his own opinion though, doesnt look bad at all..never seen anyone that fabbed one up like that, looks good
I bought one on ebay from grilles 4 u it is billet made by APS and just finished installing it and it looks sharp. I didn't like the latch extension so tig welded a piece on the leg that you normally push on so that it extended forward almost 3". Any grille you buy is going to be different in one wayor another so take it a step at a time and make mods where necessary. I also used the existing ford oval and it stands out very proud. One day I will get a pix and post it.
The extension that comes with it goes up, with my bug wacker and push bar in place it couldn't be reached so I reengineered the lever. I welded mine but could have used a bolt.
