Question Removing Emblems

I have one of those tacky dealer emblems slapped on my tailgate... how do you get these things off? Also, I see a lot about acetoned emblems... is this hard to do? If not, what do you need to do it?

Take fishing line, or dental floss, and with a back and forth motion "saw" between the the emblem and the gate. This will separate the emblem from the the gate. You will probably have some left over adhesive, which you can easily remove with Goo Gone. After you have it removed, wash and wax the area.

As far as acetoning the factory emblems, remove them like above, dip them in acetone, wash them off, put new double sided tape on them, and re-apply.
