and Lordy , I wished I had taken super closeup pics of all the vacuum /pvc emission system hoses on it, before I took the engine out and sent it to be rebuilt. Its a 79 351m cal emissions, 2 barrel carb. I had put painters masking tape on all the hoses before I removed them 4 years ago, but now the ink has faded and I cant read the markings . Anyone on here have closeup pics of the top of their 351 m, with the air cleaner off and all hoses in place? thanks

O.K , I finally got around to taking the masking tape off the newly painted underside of my hood, and found a vacuum diagram covered up. Now, if I could just match all those 3 and 4 letter component id's on the vac hose diagram to what the gizmos on the engine look like, and what port on the carb they go to, I might be able to figure this mess out.
I went to a Ford dealer, no help, they have thrown all the 79 manuals away. Our main library has nice Chilton manuals but they only went back to 83'. This is the only thing keeping me from firing up my newly rebuilt engine, and its getting on my last good nerve.
Anyone have close up , top veiw pics, with the air cleaner on, and then removed , of a 79' 351m engine with all the Cal emission piping / thermactor air pump still intact out there ????, I keep looking for one sitting and I will ask the owner for a peek at his engine, but the drivable 79's with emissions intact are scarce around here. I am getting ready to offer a cash reward for good pics , thanks
