So, what next?

Well I have "some" money, and the new summit racing catalog right next to me.

So far ive added a full Bassani exhaust, and long with a bunch of my "secret mods" and as of today I was pulling to about 70 in i would say 8 seconds. If I kept on it, I would pull to about 110-120ish in 3rd at about 4.2k-4.4k. Whats nice, is it pulls just as hard from 20-40 as it does from 80-100 .

Now im just wondering what to do next.

I really dont have a price range in mind, but just open for ideas. I was running REALLLY rich, so I was going to get a box and coil by suggestion, but I did about 3 hours of work today and im back to the normal "lean" smell that it has always had.

The only prob with the engine is the common blow by and this is my only vehicle.

Thanks for any tips. Also I was thinking about mass-air, but most ppl I talked to said dont get it?

Thanks

cam, intake , throttlebody would all be my next choices. mass air is never a bad idea especially if you plan to really start modding your motor. with speed density our cam selection is a bit limited. aluminum heads would also be a good choice.

Hey thanks Kemical for the reply!

I was looking on ebay, there are some GT40 "Y" style and some "P" heads. Whats the differance?

Also what heads are aluminum?

Adam

I just found some "X" style heads, I guess that these are aluminum, but for 700 bucks... ouch. Say they will bolt on 60 ponies! Wow!

the p-style head is a cast setupo with 1.84 exhaust and 2.02 intake valves. it requires a set of speacial headers that run you about 400 bucks and i got mine form tri-state cylinder for 550$ new im unsure about the y head so if someone wants to put some input on them

Ayoungblood- what are doing all these mods to?? Also 84FB351 I got a complete 97 Explorer 5.0 with P heads and I can't really see what or why diff. headers are needed- must be missing something.I know I can put them on my 95 EB 5.8 after resizing headbolt holes- but if my long tube headers won't fit well.......l
