Wont start
After replacing the timing belt on my 94 ranger 2.3, ( i lined up the timing marks on the crank to cover and cam to indent) it wont fire. I'm getting fuel from the fuel rack so that takes care of that concern. Any ideas?

Do a compression check to make sure you have compression. If the compression is good, the belt is installed properly. Are you getting spark? Does the engine spin real fast when you crank it or does it spin normally? Does it even attempt to start, or is it backfiring or popping? Just a few thoughts. If it was running before you replaced the belt, and now it is not, my thought would be the belt isn't timed properly. Or you may have pulled or broken a wire somewhere during the change.
