spark plug replacement - help!

Hi,

I've got a 1998 Explorer XLT with the 4.0L SOHC. How do you get the back right spark plug out? It is very very close to the AC/Heater plenum. Am I doomed to bring it to the dealer.

Try getting to it thru the wheel well. You may have to jack the body up a bit. It works on the earlier Explorers, not sure about yours.

spark plug replacement - help!

Thats the way. Jack it up and pull the right wheel, and remove the splash shield that is held on with push pins. You will not see it but you will be able to touch it.
