Angry 6.9 instrumentation problems

I have 2 86 F250 with 6.9L and man 4 speed. All of a sudden, both truck have high reading tachs, and low reading fuel gauges. Temp seems normal and the oil press might be a little low. One truck briefly fixed itself for about one day but now continues with the problem. What is the source of my issues?

I have an 86 F250 with auto. These older fords gauges just get old or have ground problems. I replaced temp and oil with mechanical gauges and un-hooked the factory ones. Just wierd reading very unconsistent before the swap out.

Sounds like a ground problem.
There is a plug in connector on the back of the insturment cluster that could also be the sorce of your problem.
Another sorce of the problem could be high or low voltage while running.

I have ran a second ground on 1 of the trucks but without resolution. I will check the voltage and clean connector connections.
