Radtitor to small!!!
My truck pulled the little 16'trailer great exept I was going my usual way to get a round bale and on a county road (gravel) the was 2 LARGE piles of dirt I could have taken the truck over them but the trailer would have died! So I had to back up 3 miles around corners up and down hills ans low water crossings.- Thank GOD for that NP 435 with the ultra low reverse and my 3.73 trac lok diff I just ideled her back 3 miles in 1hour and 15 mins not to bad only pulled forward 3 times BUT The Temp gauge was sitting on the L in the normal band(outch) for 1.5 miles of backing. I checked the oil not milky or no water and coolant level in fine. I'll change it with some more Delo 15w 40- dad says when you get a motor hot change the oil ASAP. It has a little 4 blade fan with no shroud. Can I put a nylon 18" fan with a 2" spacer for more cooling or will it be worse than the"fly swatter" fan on it now?
Ps I have a 180* T-stat in it now would a 195 help it cool BETTER
I'm open to any and all advise. I can get the Nylon 18" with a 2" spacer for $25 and the fan is rated at 8,000RPM.

also check to see how gunked up the radiator is and check to see if your gauge and sender works. to check the gauge, ground out the sending unit wire to the engine and if the gauge shows all the way to the right hand side, past the hot then the gauge works.
