I know on my 96 there is a black box on the drivers side, just beside the master cylinder , the top of the box pops off and there is some relays in there. I think there is a layout in the lid. hope this helps
I'm wondering if anyone knows a reason that the front seatbelts
in a 1996 Ford Explorer would be removed and then re-installed
such that the portion of the shoulder harness that should extend from left to right over the driver's seat now must be pulled from behind the driver's seat all the way around the driver in order to be fastened.
In other words, the base for the belt was changed from the driver's side door area to the area between the front seats, requiring the belt
to extend behind the front seat and then over the driver's shoulder.
I have a case where this modification was made by some unknown person and I'm trying to figure out what possible reason there could have been for such a change.
