Everyone knows that the V10 is a different beast when it comes to exhaust. I would like some sound clip posts of different exhaust combs that you all have out there. Just V10's please. I am really interested in a set of headers for my truck. I want to get a Banks Power Pak, and would like to hear one before I buy it. Just want to see what all is out there before dropping a dime. Already have a FM 40 and kind of regret that.
I should tape a clip of my brother's V10. He took the muffler out and had a straight pipe put in. It is really throaty and cackles when he hits it. Otherwise stock and cheap. If I wanted to make a V10 sound good I would do that.
Headers will sound different. Not so much tailpipe noise but niose from the headers. The thin wall tubing doesn't muffle the exhaust like a thick maniforld does. You'll get a pingy-tinny type sound. Different at first but you'll get used to it. The Banks has a deep sound. Quiet mostly, I think the 3.5" tailpipe adds to the deeper sound.
I just ordered the banks power pack for my V10. Do you know I you can run it with out getting check engine lights due to the long tube headers? I will install it in the next couple of weeks. Let you know how it sounds.
