Wire Colors

Okay boys, here goes....

I have a 1994 Ford F-150 with a factory am/fm/cassette player. I removed the headunit, and found two wire harnesses. I identified everything on the black wire harness, and my grey harness is what's puzzling me. I need to know these things, because I'll be cutting the wires and insert them into my new wire harness that is compatible with my new radio. Seems when I check on the internet, I can't find any that are compatible. A lot of 'em look exactly the same, but in my truck, on the grey harness, all slots are filled except the second. Can anyone tell me which wire is what? I need help bad, my dash is in pieces.

If you go to any car audio suppliers they will have a harness conversion unit so you will not have to cut your stereo harness. I hope that helps.. Or maybe I misunderstood. About what the grey harness is... I have no clue.

Instead of cutting the harness, spend $15 and get an install harness. It plugs into the factory harness and is EASY!!
