It must be different in Canada. I went to a couple of differnt dealers and they both showed me the same Ford invoices (different trucks of course) and each was about $1200 above dealer cost for the Xplan.

We were told by Ford (not the dealership) we get 2.5% above dealer invoice which does work out to about $1200 over dealer invoice.

You Americans get a great deal if its only a couple hundred bucks above dealer for the Xplan.

I was told that the X-plan was 1% of invoice +$150 and a $500 bonus to the rebate.. All rebates and bonues are added after this price. My truck was listed at $37,800. they quoted my an x-plan price of $30,000. After my rebates $1500 dealer and $500 xplan I paid $28,000 out the door. This was about $500 below invoice.

I used the X-plan when I purchased my truck. Basically it was around 39900 before plan with plan 34900 so it took about 5K off. You can generally check on the ford web site I believe there is a window in there you can use if not go edmunds.com and spec. your truck out and it will tell you retail, invoice and also what people in your area are paying. with the plan you should be really close to invoice and then all factory incentives can be used after that. However if the dealer is tripling the ford factor rebate they may not do that with the xplan...depends on the dealer but you will at least get the factor portion. I would say if you have not baught one you will be glad when you do. I have been a toyota fan for years and have just baught my first ford....I mean the first ever and so far the only thing i dod not like is the break dust.....easy to fix and the fact that my front breaks squel on light stops...and I am looking in to that now....good luck.

Interesting...we got a better deal with it (wife's works for a supplier for Ford & GM, ETC).

I forgot to add that in Houston Ford dealers are doin arounf 7000 to 8000 off sticker anyway...so the xplan made a little difference, but not a whole lot.

If you are a AAA member you can get the X plan. You have to ask for it at the AAA office to get a number and sign up for it. I bought 2 trucks last year on the X-plan.
