hub nut? still not sure what it is your refering to. the axle nut, which is behind the hub? this usually uses a spanner wrench. maybe a small picture .. since there are always 10 names for every part on a truck.

I ahve a 99sd and there are no hub nuts. The locking hub comes off with a snap ring and a bit of tapping, there is a snap ring that goes on the stub shaft then three washers,metal plastic metal, assuming the rotor is off allready you can then remove the hub/bearing assembly, It has four nuts assesable from behind the knuckle, easier if you disconect the drag link from the side you are working on. don't remove the hub unless you want to replace a 35$ seal that goes around the stub shaft(it is the blue and white seal you see inside the hub when the locking hub is removed. The sixe is 19 or 20 mm if you need the exact let me know.
