Do I need a new flash?

I have a 2004 built on 11/13/03. The truck runs great except for the engine fan turns on for no reason at all while driving down the highway. Now at about 21k miles the truck is starting to idle very rough. I just took a 1400 mile road trip and when I stopped to get gas the truck idled like it had a huge camshaft in it.

Do any of these problems seem flash fix related? Do I dare flash it?

Thank

Mark

Well I would say chances are either the wire chafing issue, or the air in oil issue. There are numerous other threads about these issues and their symptoms here, so read around, you might find something. Im sure someone here can help you more than I, there are lots who have experienced this and have become great at diagnosis.

I notice the idle problem only after a length of driving. If I drive for short amounts of time the idle is fine.

My 03 occasionally experiences a similar symptom during roadtrips, only during the roadtrip- Not the next morning. I thought it could be due to elevation changes but that is only a guess. Some of my roadtrip info is in the thread titled "Highway Mileage". If you do find a cure I'd sure apperciate knowing. Thanks.
