Transfer case **** ofcourse usally stays in AWD, a couple of months ago i put in 4hi, and it didnt move back to AWD after i messed with it switching back and forth for a couple of weeks. then a couple of months later i needed to use 4hi again and it has been there ever since, if tried backing up the whole deal, nothing works, just wondering if anyone else had this prob, the Ford guy says it happenes often and it would take a couple of days to get it looked at.

The motor that is activated by the switch may be stuck. Are you now driving it on paved surfaces while the transfer case is in 4HI? If so, stop. That action can cause driveline damage, as it locks the front and rear axles together at the same rotational speed all the time. Not good, as the wheels want to adopt individual speeds during turns.
