All,
I just purchased a 2000 X EB edition and I notice that whenever I turn on the rear windshield wiper, it doesnt work. When I turn them on, I hear some heavy thumps (like the wiper is stuck and the motor is trying to unstick it). I walked in the back and I noticed that the blade somehow gets stuck in the little crevice between the glass and the metal recess. I can lift the blade up a little bit to get it on the glass manually and it works fine but I obviously do not want to have to get outside in the rain to do this every time. Once I turn the wiper off, it goes back to the original position underneath the glass. Has anyone had this problem or has anyone seen a similar issue? If so, how do I fix it? It is kind of annoying!
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 19-Nov-02 AT 03:24 AM (EST)]Happened on my 98 samething, what happens is the wiper motor comes lose from the mount and a misalignment occures sometimes causing a loss of ground preventing proper operation my proplem was covered on warenty even after 3 years so check your warenty as well if not covered it is a easy fix anyway.:-)
my 99 sport is like that also, i took it to the dealer and they told me they cant do anything unless its caught in the act...or its their way of saying... "Nope too busy hahah"
