did you put an aftermarket radio in it? if so pull it back out and make sure you tape up the light blue wire with the red stripe on it. That is the wire that illuminated the stock radio when the parking lights are turned on.
I just got the truck. it has one in it, But I unpluged the power wires to it...
Im now looking for a steering weel Puller, were I can replace the Blinker switch.. allready replaced the Hi/Low beam switch & Head Lights Switch.
and all cluster blubs. fuse is not blowing now..But the reason for the post is my Cluster Lights Not working...
yea i know you reason for post. that wire is part of your cluster light circuit. if you look at the wires that go to each cluster bulb, it is light blue with a red stripe, the same wire that goes to stock radios, so if that shorts out of course it will blow the fuse and your cluster lights will not work.
The cluster bulb's plugs into a thin plastic circuit Board. not a light blue with a red stripe wire.. maby I missing somethin here ?
I have a plug with about 15 to 20 wires in it.. that plugs into the cluster circuit Board...
OK that wire seems to be ok. I traced it back to a wiring harness. but theres no Blub in it, so I dont Know if its getting Power [Dont have a tester]. Do you know the Type or size Blub for It ? I will go get one today..
gas gauge malfunctions most of the time are from the float in the tank filling with gas and causing very inaccurate readings. This is the most common problem but if it isn't that it's probably the sender. but if it isn't that test the gauge. to test the gauge, ground the sender side of the gauge as it should then read "full", with the key on of course.
sounds like a fuel sender problem. as for the blinkers blinking the wrong light, take it all apart and switch the bulbs around. those bulbs have pigtail sockets that lock in to that dash piece and then the bulbs push into them. to get the pigtails out just turn it to release it and then pull it out from the back and switch it.
