Transfer case seal
Can anyone tell me how to remove the transfer case ft output shaft flange that has no nut holding it on. Haynes manual no help.
1999 Explorer Limited with 60K., electric transfer case.

Is it the front one?If so it takes a 30mm thin wall scoket to get it off on the BW13-54.
On the 13-50 t case just pull the yoke out of the T case.It will be a little hard to slidout but it comes out.I put a LIGHT coat of greas on mine when I put back in.Hope this helps.

The transfer case in my 99 is a BW 4405 C-trac. It has to be removed and taken apart to remove the snap ring retainer on the ft stub shaft to replace seal. I think I will just wait and see if it gets worse.
