Narrowing down starting problem - NOT IAC
I have more info concerning my wont start issue with my 95 XLT.
As you know, when the truck is warm (after running around town and such) the XLT wont start. It will just turn over and over and never crank. After waiting a bit and trying again it will finally crank.
NEW INFO TO FOLLOW
While sitting in the garage (very quite) I discovered that the hum of the fuel pump was absent on the times the XLT would not crank. Again, this onlky happens when it is warm. Further, if I turned the key to the on position (not cranked) and simply waited the fuel pump would eventually engage - usually before the bells, whistels and lights disappeared from the dash. Then I could start. The reason it took so long to start in the past was that I went from off the crank in one motion. Now when I experience the no starting problem I simply turn the key to the on position and wait a few seconds...then it cranks.
I have replaced the IAC (waste of money). I have also replaced the Fuel Pump Relay. Next will be the PCM Relay and the EEC Relay. Then I guess it will be the fuel pump itself. Seems like it would just go bad altogether though, not imtermittant.
Any thoughts...
