I ordered the sport pkg because I wanted tinted windows (have to get a rear slider with that), step rails, and fog lights. The sport pkg had all of those and was less than a $100 more and included: color coded grill, color coded bumpers, a nicer interior, chrome exhaust tip, and they throw in rubber floor mats. There are alot of super dutys around, but my truck in the true blue gets people to turn their heads. Hope that answers it for you.
The truck is dirty, but I posted some pics in the gallery to take a look at. The title is New 04 F250 PSD. You can just click on my name in this posting, SD luvr, and it will allow you to access the gallery directly. I plan to wash the truck this weekend and will upload some new pics then, but hope this gives you an idea.
If you plan to use this as a work truck I wouldn't bother with the Sport pkg. But, if you will be using it for a family vehicle or daily driving like me, I think it's the way to go. I had no intention of making alot of mods to this truck, but the sport pkg looks makes it look as if I did.
Also, the captains chairs are an option that doesnt cost anything. I figured my comfort was worth losing the center seat up front. Hope this helps!
like you said mostly appearence stuff, however, you can get leather seats in this package and that has only been offered with latriat package before. at least when i ordered my 04 f250 c/c lat. package.
I have a red sport fx4 cc and one thing you might consider is that the seats are more "sporty" meaning a bit firmer. I like them that way, so it was an advantage to me.
