harmonic vibertion
got a 2000 7.3 crewcab no lift factory size tires got new transfer case
just had drive shaft balaced two piece everything is pretty smooth until 78
mph then i start to here hormonic sound the faster i go the louder until 85 mph then hormonicviberation levels out if i maintain a speed it is not as loud if i let up on accerator the hormonics completly goes away give throttle and it is right back sounds like it is coming from rear end eny one have any problems like this?
could thier be a problem with rear axle i did check rear spline for any slop and found none do i need to simmy carrier bearing
what causes this type of hormonic viberation i am at a loss on what to check next could it be the gears in the pumpkin
if any one has any ideas please respond

p.s. the guys that balaced my drive shaf removed that rubber thing that wraped around the drive shaft by the rear spline !

I kinda have the same prob. I have a 99 250SD with a 7.3. I'm alright till about 65 or 70 mph. Than the viberation starts. If you touch the **** on the transfer case you can really feel it. I replaced all u-joints in rear drive shaft and the ball socket in th cv. It was alot worse before but still there. Any help would be appreciated!! Thanks Lancer
