I'm in the same boat. I looked at my filter today and found Dirt in the rubber intake tube and Found a Torn place near the clamp. OUCH! Don't know how long it has been sucking trash. I've just owned it 2 weeks. I really hate to drop $200+ for an airfilter.
Badfish, I have the Ford severe duty AIS. I like it. My stock box had a tab to break and let dirt in also. The Tymar is available from tymarperformance.com (Dale Isley). You can get the Ford AIS for $180.00 at fordpartsnetwork.com. That is the cheapest I've seen. If you are concerned with warranty issues you might want to consider the Ford setup.

I agree with what 01Stroker, Oppy, and JohnsDiesel said... I have the AIS intake. I went with it because my truck has a long way to go until it's warranty is up. Had that not been an issue I would have gone with the Tymar. It's an open element filter so you're going to hear the turbo sing. The Tymar is the cheaper option too. The entire setup and replacement filters are cheaper. All depends on what you want.
