Question SD Fog Light Brackets

Could someone please draw a template for the mounting brackets for a 2003 F250? My truck evidently had them removed from the truck at some point in it's past and I'd like to replace them with aftermarket lights mounted in the original location. If you could place a piece of paper behind the bracket and mark the bolt patterns for L/H and R/H and then scan and post them it would be a great help. That would give me the layout in the flat which I could then transfer to metal, cut, drill, and then bend to fit. Also, please confirm that the wires are tan with an orange trace for the hot leads and the ground is black? I have these wires which appear to have been cut just below the bumper to the right of center as they exit the loom. Thanks in advance.

the only problem with your request is one would most likely have to remove the bumber to trace the bracket. i had my bumber off a few months ago to put a cooler on and the brackets for the factory are a plastic bracket with 5 or 6 bolts in it and is about 6"x9". you may just have to bite the bullet and buy them from ford

Red face Sorry for confusion...

I didn't mean for anyone to disassemble their truck. I was hoping someone in a salvage yard or body shop might have a set out for other repairs and be able to trace them. From pictures I've seen on ebay each bracket has 3 bolt holes and a cutout where the light mounts. I just don't have dimensions to fabricate them. Perhaps my best bet is to try to make templates from poster board and do it that way. Next question, what thread diameter and pitch are the bolts? TIA.

smitty,

email me your address and I will send you what you need.

I recently replaced one of mine( bracket was broke ) and have the other side in a box for a spare.

I went to the fords parts counter and asked for a replacement bracket for the right side, the guy told me I had to buy the whole light and bracket combination at a cost of $88. Then I got on trusty old Ebay and bought a NEW set ( both sides, brackets and lights ) for $74 shipping included

That might be an option for you but if you want a template let me know.

02fidyCrew, thanks, but I'm still in the 15 day limbo period. Can't email. I'll send you an email ASAP when I have priviledges. I really appreciate it. Fireman, thanks for your reply as well. I was a member here years ago (yes, I still have the T shirt to prove it) but let my membership lapse as we got rather busy with a move and kids in college. This remains one of the best resources of FoMoCo truck info around.

jdadamsjr, I'd take you up on that if I could correspond via email, but I don't want to offend the moderators by dealing on the forum. Give me a couple of days. Heck, it says I joined in May and it's June 22 already. By my calendar that's way past 15 days.
