Well, I think we need a little more info.

Is it stuttering like it just doesn't want to go...like it's 'clogged' or something?
How many miles does it have?
What year is it?
Did it make any strange noise?
Have you changed anything on it yet?
Have you checked all your filters, plugs, wires, etc...?
Is it an auto or manual transmission?
Is it a regular or supercab?

If it is an automatic, you won't have much power right off the bat in first gear. Once our motor spools up to around 2500-3000 RPM's, then our power starts to show. The manual also does not have 'tons' of power down low, but it is a little better IMO.

If it is a regular cab, you are much lighter than a supercab. A RCAB runs 17's stock and an SCAB runs 19-20's. (auto's) That's not all that fast. Just FYI

My recommendation, check everything first of all like the air filter, plugs, wires, and all that fun stuff. If they are dirty or worn, change them out.

Also, it all really depends on your defination of 'not going even when you floor it prior to the 20 MPH mark.'
