Installing 80-86 factory tach
Got a 81 F-350 with no tach in the cluster. Bought a instrument panel with the tach. Just from reading the 81 shop manual it looks like I just install the gauges and plug in the harness connector to the cluster and it should work.
I note that on 8 cylinder harnesses the tack uses a ground on pin 12 that apparrently is not there on 6 cyl harnesses.
So if I'm right truck harnesses are all pre wired for using the factory tach, so it all should plug in and just work . Right?
