7.3l powerstroke - induction common rail?
I have a 99 250 7.3l powerstroke that i'm planning on running on soybean oil. Wierd at it may sound, the company that builds the kit asked me whether the injection system is common rail?
Any ideas?

I think it is. Let us know how it goes on the conversion. I have a customer who has a VW Dasher, an old Mercedes 240D, and a Toyota Pickup, all with diesel engines. He has converted over the Dasher to run on vegetable oil. I am impressed with the way the car runs. It has just as much power as before, but without one hint of exhaust smoke. He took it through the emission test station last year for his tab renewal and got an opacity reading of 0. The test station operator couldn't believe the readings and did it several times. He plans to to the rest of his cars as funds allow for the kits.

Maybe I've got my terms wrong in my head. I thought common rail meant the system similar to the Powerstroke in that there is a common fuel supply to the injectors and the injectors do all the work.
