Clutch Linkage

OK guys, somewhere in the process of putting in my new engine (built 390, YEAH!), I think I lost something. My clutch linkage is screwed up. my question is this, should there be a pivot on both sides of the Z-bar? I have a pivot with a bushing on the outside end of the Z-bar, but when I push in the pedal, the bar tweaks a little and gets stuck, so the pedal won't come back up? Is there a pivot that should bolt to the block to provide support? Does anybody have any ideas? or does anyone have pictures of their clutch linkage that I can take a look at? Thanks, I appreciate any input you guys have.

There should be a bracket that bolts to the block that has the other bushing for your z-bar.

I welded one up from scratch when I changed my 240 for a 360. It is just a shaft with the correct bushing. It is identical to the one that mounts to the frame except for the mounting. I had the bushing but it would probably be easy to make one.

If there's a salvage yard near you then any '65-'76 F-series with an FE and a manual tranny shoulh have one. I've got one, but I may be needing it in the future.
