Has anyone taken the armrests off their Superduty that has Captains chairs? My driver's side armrest is pointing down about 20 degrees because I lean on it too hard. I was going to pull it off and see if there are teeth I can realign or if I have bent something. I ask before i dissassmble now becuase I usually end up breaking interior parts before I figure out the right way to do it.
Time to change the tranny fluid (30,000 miles city driving). Anything special to be done other than the normal change? Synthetic? I am running Delta chip currently and have been considering putting the S. valve and T. spring too. Any suggestions?
I recently removed my armrest it is held in place by a Torx45 screw just peel back the cover and you will see the screw. Mine is an 02 it had a 3/4" stud (for lack of a better word)that is welded to the frame of the seat that holds the arm rest in place, on the armrest itself it has a little channel hope this helps. There are no teeth just a channel which could have been bent out of whack. I'll post some pics when i get a chance.
My Dad was in the Air Force and we lived in Stuttgart, Patch Barracks, when I was in high school. I remember the Germans were lacking in the full size truck department. I bet your truck turns some heads. We had a Bronco II and people would come up and check it out like it was from another planet (in the mid 80's)
