240 I6 < 390 V8
Hello, I'm trying to get my parts together to replace my 240 in my 71 F100 2WD with a 390 FE. I'm pretty sure I have everything. Do the towers get moved back? Does anyone know if the clutch Z bar from the 240 bellhousing will work with the FE bellhousing? Thanks, Doug

Towers are completely different and the Z-bar is too. 390s came in your year truck so I would attempt to locate OEM parts to swap out with if I were you! 
If you do it right you won't even be able to tell it wasn't the factory engine!
