Guage package for E series

I am very interested in installing some gauges and chip/tuner in my E-350 SD 6.0 but all the listings i see for them are for the F series and expidition trucks-

my question how hard is it to install the sending units for these gauges or is there a gauge set that i can plug somewhere into my existing wiring harness to get the important readings- i understand an EGT sensor would have to be installed in the exhaust manifold but i plan on putting a few more miles on her before powering up so the EGT is not at the top of my list - please correct me if i am wrong about needing/wanting this with a stock setup

right now i am more interested in boost, coolant/tranny temp
as related to towing.

thanks again for any and all replys

Frank

Gauge installs aren't hard to do, (lotta help on this site should you have a problem) and the pods/gauge attachments are many, even if in an E-series, 'there are' options.. As are the types of gauges offered.. Look around at all thats offered,, Autometer, Isspro, Diprocol, Edge monitor ect. BUT GIVE Motorhaven a shot at your buisness, and for the tuner ect as well... You 'probably' don't need them just yet in stock configuration (unless heavy towing) but it is nice to see what all the temps and such are doing!! Looks cool too!!

The Edge Juice with monitor will gauge for Boost, EGT and Trans Temps and has a digital panel that can be mounted where ever is best visable for you.. It has it's own harness that wires the various senders ect, but doesn't plug into excisting truck wiring.. The installs can be a little time consuming, but not technically hard to do.. Again, lotta help at FTE...

Lots of options.. and lots of info./installs that owners here have done..

You may want to ask if anyone has pictures of their installations..

.............Good luck..........HP.................

Opp's...

Included the 'trans temp' as a monitored temp with the Attitude Monitor. Actually (S/B) RPM, and percent down/high EGT. The Edge Juice is what installs (power module) in minutes.. The Attitude monitor requires some time/tools to install, as would any gauges.. The tuners/programmers (Predator/Superchip) tend to be a bit easier to 'quickly' install OR remove (no tools) for service/warranty work, and have diagnostic capability.. Trouble code reading, and code clearing should you need it.. Handy if out on the road with a check engine light on.. But either way,, the gauges/probe/wire ect. 'installs' are what take the most time to complete.. I would at least install an EGT to be safe with a tuner, and protect the engine/warranty.. And add the others for heavy towing, and to be even more safe out on the road!!
