Just recieved my Predator today. It's awesome and the thick black cloud of smoke like the Edge had isn't there either. I left my driveway and found myself at a stop light with one of those little cars with the big tail pipe. He couldn't even come close to keeping up! I do have a question though...I was under the impression that tire sizes could be programmed, but can't seem to find it in the programmer. Can anyone tell me if it's there and if so where it is?
Thanks.
Ken, where are you?? From the user manual I received it didn't show any tire size reprogramming, but then I didn't expect it either. I assume my 285's are running right along with the speedometer now (per other threads).
Some of the advertisements are vauge.... i think the misunderstanding is that you can adjust for tire size and change transmission shift points on gassers, but not on our diesels. When reading about my predator before i ordered it i was under the same impression, but after being disappointed, started reading the ads again and realized i just wasn't paying attention due to my excitement level over the whole ordeal.... That was my experience, and thats not to say there isn't some misleading advertisement out there, just not in my case dealing with motorhaven. Ken is awesome.!!!
It's ok with me. I totally agree that with all the excitement it was an oversight. It did help me sell the idea of the Predator to my wife . The improvements more than make up for the loss of programming tire size. You're right, Ken and his crew at Motorhaven are awesome!!!
