T-case shifter
I have a 74 F-250 and I am in the process of changeing out my Transfer case and want to get the wobble out of the shifter. I took the shifter off and it looks like there used to be a rubber bushing between the shifter and the transmission. Would replacing this bushing tighten up the shifter? Also where would I find one of these, if someone has a part number that would be great.
The linkage that goes back to the T-case is also showing some wear. The end of the shaft that connects to the transfer case is about wore off. I thought I might be able to cut it off and weld a rod or bolt of the same size in it's place. Would this be a good fix or is there a better way.
The bolts that screw into the transfer case and to the mounts are also showing signs of wear. Is there someplace that sells these new or am I going to have to make these work? Thanks for the help, Jake
