i have a bronco 2 and a friend and i were off roading. we made it back to the trail and went to turn it off and get out and look for damage. but before we even got stopped it clunked chugged and died. we tryed to start it up and go but nuttin happened. so we towed it back checked the relays and the fuel pump and the electrical for the fuel system was fine. i want to know if there could be something with the starter and if any of u know where i can find a diagram that shows all the wiring? just e-mail me your response.
Basic wiring diagrams can be had in the vehicle repair guides at www.autozone.com or any Chilton's/Haynes manual.
Better wiring diagrams can be had in better manuals. I've found that you can often find some in the reference section of public libraries, or in college libraries.
I'm not clear on the problem, does the engine crank but just doesn't start? What happened to the truck, you said you were stopping to check for damage.
two questions:
1. is it cranking or not?
2. do you have any electrical power at all now?
Ive already had it where theres no electricity so obviously it wont crank... right now it has plenty of power but wont crank sometimes. Let me know and i'll do my best to help you out.
