Since most with 4x4's and such has to use diffirent size belts with mods. Does anyone know of a good site that carries a bunch of off sized belts? It's not used on a truck, but for a stand that the company went under on. It looks alot like the small Elc. motor belts some use to run the water pumps.
What I do, when I've done somthing that requires a custom belt (like when I converted to a 2g alt & made a custom bracket) is I take an old belt and cut it to the length I need. Then, I take that in to napa and root around untill I find one that matches. Easy as pie.
Yea, most belts have the last two numbers as the belt length. Before I knew my 1971 was a 1965 Galaxie motor (because I got the wrong belt and thermostat), I just took the belt off, measured it, went behind the counter of Advance Auto and picked one the right size and width.
BTW: You can find many wierd belts and such at a local Graingers.
if you don't have a belt you can use 1/4 or 3/8 nylon rope around the pulleys to fit it. Don't be supprised if they want to find it in thier computer. no one really wants to just match up a belt any more without arguing with them. I always keep the paper things they wrap the belts with so I know next time what belt I need when the time comes.
Ain't gotta worry bout em finding it in there puter, If so i could use a few other repair pieces since the company fell under about ayesar or so ago.
This is a small belt that i use on a stand that aids me on holding a rifle. Dis. crap ain't easy found once a company goes under or $$$ stuff. I've spent less on my 3 4x4's Bogger's part breaking and all.
If i make it to the strip tomorrow I'll keep my eye out for that kinda pump setup see what i come up with.

Thanks guys.
well, if it has a number on it, you can probably goto a good auto parts store, and they can cross reference it. I had a belt break on my furnace blower, and I took it over to my local "auto supermarket", and the dude said hold on, looked up the number, and brought me back a belt... go figure.
