i think the only differece, is the plug that connects to the wiring harness. if you have the original one from your truck, just use that. if im not mistaken, its a simple cut and solder operation.

i put a 1979 in my 1972 custom only think i did was try to fiuger out the guy befor me screw up on the wiring...boy he hacked it up bad.. but like i said all i done was cut offthe 79 plug and put my 72 plug on it.. you can see the pic's of her in my gallerie..allso put in a JBL cd player in her too.....let me know what you think..
